Events Q1 Summary

The first quarter of 2026 saw the PHUSE Working Groups community come together through a mix of in-person and virtual activities – from new formats showcased at the PHUSE US Connect (including the PHUSE Pavilion™ and the Advance Sessions) to a first multi-day event from the Nonclinical Topics Working Group. PHUSE Pavilion™

Attendees experienced a new kind of collaboration at the PHUSE Pavilion™ – dynamic, themed spaces that create ‘conferences within the conference’.

Each Pavilion is a self-curated, branded environment hosted by a leading organisation or interest group, designed to deliver in-depth, engaging content through interactive sessions and discussions.

The Pavilions were part of the PHUSE US Connect 2026, which took place 22–26 March 2026. Full details can be found on the PHUSE Blog.

Advance Sessions

The PHUSE US Connect 2026 highlighted the strength and diversity of the Working Groups activity. Through Advance Sessions, Pavilions, workshops and Panel Discussions, Working Groups shared practical insights, innovative solutions and collaborative approaches addressing key challenges across the clinical research life cycle. Topics spanned data visualisation, open source, data standards, safety analytics, transparency, anonymisation, AI and patient-centric communication. Together, these activities demonstrate the value of the PHUSE Working Group model in advancing best practice, fostering innovation and supporting meaningful progress for the global clinical data community. Full details can be found on the PHUSE Blog.

The Advance Sessions were part of the PHUSE US Connect 2026, which took place 22–26 March 2026.

New Multi-Day Event

New Multi-Day Event

The Nonclinical Topics Working Group had its first multi-day virtual event! The event featured expert presentations, interactive breakouts and PHUSE project updates exploring the evolving nonclinical landscape. Sessions addressed regulatory implementation of new approach methodologies (NAMs), data standardisation and SEND expansion. Discussions also covered advances in nonclinical predictive modelling and machine learning for translational safety, as well as practical SEND developments such as tumour.xpt conformance, nSDRG milestones, coding initiatives and future-ready data capture approaches to decision-making.
