Shawntel Swannack, Emmes

Shawntel Swannack is an industry leader in developing innovative, cross-functional processes that disrupt old habits and drive efficiencies. RBQM reprioritises what is critical for delivery, using new technologies to give immediate visibility to study status and risk. Shawntel has spent her career in multiple cross-functional roles. Prior to joining Emmes, she spent 20 years at GSK, where she recently created and implemented the strategic vision for their RBQM department from the ground up. In this role, Shawntel led and built global teams in data strategy and analytics, working alongside clinical operations teams to ensure quality and data integrity.

Shawntel’s well-rounded experience laid the foundation for her work in RBQM. In each role, her passion for creating effective and efficient ways of working drove her to reshape how the industry conducts clinical trials. Shawntel continues to feed back into the industry with yearly presentations at conferences and participates in working groups within the RBQM space, such as PHUSE.
